Business Skills Managing the Numbers: Accounting & Finance If your managers' eyes glaze over when they see the financial statements, this class is a must! Explaining the basic concepts of accounting and finance, company-specific information and commentary can be incorporated if desired. Full day
Business Skills Problem Solving Skills This program introduces and practices a six step model for problem solving that can be applied in any business setting. If desired, company-specific problems can be used in work group activities. (Requires one-day of prior on-site consultation.) 1 – 3 hours
Business Skills Professionalism Pointers If your employees need a brush-up on their professionalism skills, this session will help. Addressing the role of supervisor/manager in setting an appropriate example, communications skills and professional dress, interactive discussions help bring the group to a higher level of sophistication. 1 – 3 hours
Business Skills Team Training Course (with DISC instrument) This Course is a fully-customizable intervention for teams that are new or are not functioning together well. BRG will provide a computerized behavior style analysis report for each of the participants and a discussion of behavioral preferences, tendencies, strengths and weaknesses will comprise a portion of one of the sessions. This information will be used to help participants develop the flexibility needed to deal with members who have very different personality styles. (Sample reports available upon request.) 2 days
Career Management Take Stock/Make Strides This interactive program addresses the issues of career management head-on! By examining five key areas of career management, your group will align its expectations for the world of work. Participants will rate their adaptability and flexibility, determine their transferable skill blocks and consider the career impact of economic changes in the industry. Full day
Change Change and Your Career How healthy is your career? Are you achieving what you had hoped for in your work life? This program examines four career-enhancing abilities you may already possess. Discover which of your skills are truly transferable as you learn how to manage your career in changing times. 1 – 3 hours
Communication Effective Communication in the Workplace Wondered why communication isn't working so well in your workplace? This session will help to diagnose and correct the problem. 2 hours
Communication Key Communication Skills in this hands-on session, examples of real-life communication breakdown will be discussed and a 5 Phase Model for Person-to-Person Communication will be taught. Participants interact with one another in group exercises designed to internalize the Key Communication Skills concepts. 3 – 4 hours
Customer Service Key Customer Service Skills Using a variety of materials, this program presents customer service basics and allows participants to role-play difficult customer interactions. As we discuss the principles of managing customer interactions effectively, we will refresh key communication skills. If desired, scripts and sentence-starters for the participants to memorize can be developed. 3 – 4 hours
Economics Econo-Savvy: How the Economy Works and What You Need To Know Baffled by what causes the ups and downs in our economy? This session will hit the “high spots” and, using simple terms, help you grasp the forces at work in our economy so that you can perform and lead more effectively. You will: 1) investigate the current state of the US economy, 2) determine where your industry falls within the economic system and how changes in other parts of the system affect your industry’s viability, 3)practice communicating to others how the “economic big picture” affects your work, and 4)learn where to go to monitor economic information in the future. 3 hours
